About our privacy policy

NVR Service & Advies cares about your privacy. That’s why we only process the information we need to deliver and/or improve our services, and we handle any information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never pass on your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by NVR Service & Advice. This privacy policy came into effect on 5 July 2021. We may from time to time publish a new privacy policy, which will then replace all previous versions. This privacy policy details the type of personal information we collect about you, how we use this information, and with which third parties and under what conditions we share your personal information. We also explain how we store your personal information and how we protect this against misuse, and we explain your rights in relation to the personal information you provide us with.

eCommerce software

My Online Store

Our webshop has been developed with software from My Online Store. Personal information you make available to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. My Online Store has access to your information solely for the purpose of providing us with general and technical support: they will never use your information for any other purpose. My Online Store is required to take appropriate security measures in compliance with the agreement we have concluded with them. My Online Store uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal information is collected or stored.

Web hosting

My Online Store

We purchase web hosting and email services from My Online Store. My Online Store processes personal information on our behalf and will never use your information for its own purposes. They can however collect metadata on your usage of the services; this data does not include any personal information. My Store Online has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure personal information against loss or unauthorised/unlawful processing and, under the terms of our agreement, is required to keep confidential all personal information they process on our behalf.

My Online Store

We make use of the services of My Online Store for our regular business email communication. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent, as far as reasonably possible, misuse, loss and corruption of your and our information. My Online Store does not have access to our mailbox and we keep confidential all our incoming and outgoing emails.

Payment processors

Mollie

We use the Mollie payments platform to handle the largest part of the payments in our webshop. Mollie processes your name and address and your payment details like your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. Mollie reserves the right to use your information to further improve the service and to share data (in anonymised form) with third parties in this context. All the guarantees regarding the protection of your personal information as stated above apply equally to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not hold your information for longer than permitted by law.

Shipping & logistics

PostNL / DHL / DPD

When you place an order with us, it’s our job to see that your parcel is delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL, DHL and DPD to carry out the deliveries. This means that we need to share your name and address with these delivery service providers. PostNL, DHL and DPD only use this information for the purpose of implementing their agreement with us. In the event that PostNL, DHL or DPD engages subcontractors, they will also pass on your name and address to these parties.

Billing and accounting

We use software from My Online Store to create and send invoices.

Our accounting is done in-house using our own system.

External sales channels

We do not use any external sales channels.

Why we process personal information

General purpose of processing personal information

We only use your personal information for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place. We do not use your personal information for direct marketing or any other marketing purposes. If you share information with us and we would like to use this information to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will only do so if we have received your explicit consent. Your information will only be shared with third parties if this is necessary to fulfil our accounting and/or administrative obligations. These third parties are bound by confidentiality obligations based on the agreement we have with them or an oath or legal obligation.

Usage data

Usage data is data that is collected automatically via our website for the purpose of further improving our services. Usage data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal information.

As required by law

Under certain circumstances NVR Service & Advice can be required to disclose your personal information to a third party in connection with an official tax or criminal investigation. Though in such a case we are obliged to share your personal information, we will oppose this as far as possible within the law.

Retention period

We will retain your order information for no longer than 13 months. We are legally required to keep copies of invoices with your personal and other information for administrative purposes. We will hold this information for the duration of the applicable retention period. However, during this period employees do not have access to your customer profile or documents we prepared to carry out your order.

Your rights

Under the relevant Dutch and European law, you have certain rights as a ‘data subject’ (someone whose personal data has been collected, held or processed) concerning your personal information we process of or that is processed on our behalf. We explain below what rights you have and how you can invoke these. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send information with your personal information to your email address as recorded in our files. If you wish at any time to have this information sent to you at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of completed requests; if we have received a ‘right of erasure’ request we will hold the relevant information in anonymised form. You will receive all copies of data in the machine readable data format we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect we are using your personal information inappropriately.

Right to access

You have the right at all times to view the information we process or have processed and that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can request this access through our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all your personal information with a list of the data processors who have this information, also stating the category under which this information falls. We will send this to the email address we have on file for you.

Right to rectification

You have the right at all times to have the information we process or have processed and that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you supplemented or corrected. You can request such an addition or correction through our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address we have on file for you telling you that we have supplemented or corrected your personal information as requested.

Right to the restriction of processing

You have the right at all times to restrict the processing of the information we process or have processed and that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can request such a restriction of processing through our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address we have on file for you telling you that processing of your personal information will be suspended until such time that the processing restriction is lifted.

Right to data portability

You have the right at all times to have the information we process or have processed and that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you processed by another party. You can submit your request through our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all your personal information we have processed or that has been processed by other data processors or third parties on our behalf to the email address we have on file for you. In all likelihood, in such a case, we will no longer be able to provide the service given that secure connection between data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object / Your other rights

You have the right to object to your personal information being processed by or on behalf of NVR Service & Advies if there are relevant grounds for doing so. If you invoke this right, we will immediately stop the data processing while your objection is being handled. If your objection is found to be justified, we will provide you with copies of the personal information we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf and then permanently stop the processing of this information. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling. We do not process your information in any way that would cause you to invoke this right. If you believe, however, that this has occurred or is occurring, please contact our privacy officer.

Cookies

Google Analytics

Cookies of the American company Google are placed through our website as part of their Analytics service. We use this service to monitor how visitors use the website and to receive reports on this. This data processor may be required to provide access to this data on the basis of applicable laws and regulations. We do not allow Google to use the analytics data obtained for other Google services.

In the event that software solutions from third parties use cookies, this will be stated in this privacy statement.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy from time to time. This page will always display the latest version of the policy however. If the updated privacy policy has consequences for the way in which we process information relating to you which we have already collected, we will inform you about this by email.
